Unlike standard wheelchairs, the transfer chair's seat splits open 180° and slides laterally around the patient, who remains seated on the bed's edge. Caregiver Must Be Present

This chair reduces caregiver strain but does not replace them. A trained caregiver must operate the lift and guide the patient during every transfer.

Not for Independent Use

Patients cannot self-operate this chair. It is a caregiver-assisted transfer device — not a self-propelled wheelchair for daily independent mobility.

Weight Limit: 150 kg

Maximum patient weight is 150 kg. Exceeding this limit may damage the hydraulic system and compromise patient safety.

Needs 12 cm Floor Clearance

The base requires 12 cm clearance beneath the bed. Platform beds or beds with solid bases may not allow the chair to slide underneath.

Flat Surfaces Only

Designed for flat, smooth indoor surfaces. Cannot be used on stairs, steep ramps (>5°), or rough outdoor terrain.

Manual Hydraulic Only

The rental unit is manual hydraulic — not electrically powered. Electric transfer chair variants are not currently in our Ranchi inventory.
